The Twelve Days of Wisewood: Day 2 - QB Dylan Coveney

Athletic Henry Wisewood quarterback Dylan Coveney has signed a Usports Letter of Intent to attend the University of Calgary in September 2017.

An outstanding athlete, Coveney was coached by former University of Calgary defensive back Cody Ehrmann. Cody has been his coach for the past three years, two in senior High School and one in junior.

The 6’, 175 lbs. Coveney is a product of the Calgary Bulldogs program of the Calgary Minor Football Association where he played receiver, kicker, as well as quarterback earning his team’s Most Valuable Player Award.

Now in his senior year at Wisewood, Dylan had the misfortune of missing the majority of his Grade 11 season due to a dislocated shoulder.

“Dylan is a very athletic player. He is a hard working athlete and has showed great leadership. We will use his athleticism and find a spot for him contribute to the Dinos,” states Head Coach Wayne Harris.

“I wanted to stay at home for university. I have heard great things about the program and the coaches,” stated Coveney whose career ambition is to be a nurse.

Dylan is the son of Chris and Priscilla Coveney of Calgary.
