Training Camp 2013 Update: Defensive Line

Like the other components on the defence, the Dinos took a severe hit along the defensive line. Taylor Langlais is the only player that participated in the post-season that returns to the team in 2013. Linden Gaydosh is with the Carolina Panthers of the NFL, Michael Klassen (Montreal Alouettes), Josh Symons (Montreal Alouettes and graduation), Martin Kalonji (graduation), Byron Roberts (graduation), have departed, with Gaydosh and Klassen both having eligibility remaining. Gaydosh and Symons were both Conference all-stars in 2012 and Klassen had a solid season.
The 2013 defensive line will be young but athletic. Langlais returns for his third season after being a solid reserve last year at one defensive end spot. Rookie Brett Wade (Regina Thunder) joins the team after a solid season in the Prairie Junior Football Conference and sophomore Zack Jenkins begins his second season after seeing limited action last year as a reserve. An impressive freshman is James Bradley from Victoria, BC, but his progress has been hampered by a foot injury sustained early in fall camp. Others vying for the playing time are Andrew Driusso (Calgary Colts), red-shirt freshman Cory Robinson (George McDougall, Airdrie, AB.), and sophomore Matt Carson (Kelowna, BC.).
